Michelangelo Antonioni and his wife Enrica
The great world-class director who had suffered a stroke and could not speak was portrayed with his wife. Their portrait shows the mutual support of the Antonioni couple during his illness. In the second half of the 80s, Piero Guidi was looking for a new line to add to the collections that were already successful in Italy and abroad.
We wanted to arrive at a quality product, which would leave room for creativity, which would innovate without betraying the good taste and refinement that characterized the brand.
The turning point came when it was decided to focus on playfulness, working on both colors and shapes.
It was a shock! Colors and shapes materialize on the worktable against the enchanted atmospheres of Marc Chagall's circus.
Magic Circus was born from the dreams of this great artist.
Acrobats, dancers, trapeze artists, fakirs, fantastic animals, stars, lions, elephants, clowns, and flowers in bright colors printed on shiny or opaque materials, in shades of brown, white, yellow, red, or black.
Whoever observes the spectacle of these figures enters the game of representation.
In 1988, when the Magic Circus series hit stores, for many women it was love at first sight.
Bags and accessories have been offered in many variations, changing the association of colors, materials, or shapes, but the elegantly light spirit and the desire to surprise have always remained intact.

The 80s were contradictory and difficult years in some ways, but with a very strong impact on our creativity.
Lineabold was born: bold and unconventional products that combine functionality and originality.
Black is its distinctive color and for the first time, the famous metal plate is introduced in which it is possible to engrave your name and address, thus transforming each model into a personalized and indispensable item.
The metal tip is the other element that allows anyone to immediately recognize the product.
From the start, Lineabold was made with material exclusive to Piero Guidi.
Durability over time is one of the characteristics that have guaranteed its success: resistant to the harshest stresses, anti-scratch, anti-tear and waterproof, the material is one of the secrets that make Lineabold products companions of the reliable trip.

I like to call myself "an object constructor". I am a curious person: I have spent my life learning how to make things and I am still not satisfied. I will never be. It's a never-ending story. I don't envy material wealth. I envy those who can make a product more beautiful than mine. It is a desire that immediately transforms into positive energy, which drives me to work with a lot of enthusiasm and passion. In our profession, we should not rejoice in the successes achieved, our eyes must always be turned towards the future. To my colleagues, I always say "you have to be good at what we can do tomorrow". Our main goal is to make good products, with all those who appreciate us in mind. Our objects must make you dream. A product is only really successful if it is in tune with the soul of the people: that's when the magic happens. From the creation of accessories to the choice of materials, linings, seams, packaging, every detail comes from an ancestral culture, that of our city, Urbino, one of the great capitals of the European Renaissance. The city of Raphael, the place where I attended the prestigious Book School, where the teachers taught me what art, beauty, and harmony are. Today, every day, we work with a group of talented, young, and motivated employees. The people around me are a vital part of my world. Since 1991, two flying angels, a man, and a woman kissing happily have been our brand. It is a positive symbol, it is the spirit that supports people who try to change the world in their own way, sometimes succeeding.
The brand of my company is my alter ego, it lives with me day and night and gives the same enthusiasm as at the beginning of this adventure. It's my life.
